We finished our Lamaze class last week and here are a couple pictures from the last class. Our group started out with five couples the first week and only two showed up on the last night. Maybe it was the video from the week before that scared off the others, or maybe one of those human pretzel birthing positions. Regardless, it was a great class, our instructor was hilarious and informative and we feel a bit more prepared for what's ahead.

Here I am reading an excellent book about Fatherhood that my bro-in-law Jason passed on... Thanks man... You can tell from the expression on my face it must have been the chapter on changing diapers...

A special recognition

So this blog is supposed to be about the baby, but... I'm gonna take a moment to brag on my wife a little. Last week was Healthsouth's regional Christmas party and several awards were handed out as part of the event. Joanna was given the "Clinician of the year" award, a prestigious recognition that goes to the top professional at each location. I know what a great mentor and facilitator of healing she is to all her patients, and it was great to see her get recognized for her hard work. Congrats Joey!

It's hard to believe we have reached the 6 month mark! It has been so much fun, and time is flying by. Both baby and Mommy are growing as you can see. He weighed 1lb 2oz at the last sonogram at about week 23. He is healthy and doing great. And he has the most precious profile, but I am a little partial.

Baby entered his first 5K on Thanksgiving! It was a beautiful morning, and we jogged the local Turkey Trot together (although he was really along for the ride). He is moving often and it is amazing!! What a wonderful reminder of how special a time this truly is! Edmund and I are continually grateful for your thoughts, prayers and support of us. Thank you.

It's a boy!

Joey had her second sonogram last Thursday and we found out we are indeed expecting a boy! As far as they can tell he looks to be healthy and doing well. Joey had a root beer before she went and he apparently liked it... He was pretty active in there and was bouncing around... We are grateful that God's hand has been on this little guy and will continue to pray for his development.

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by... we hope this blog will keep you up to date on how things are going with Joey's pregnancy and Auger baby. The image here is from the first sonogram back in September. Thursday Joey goes for the second sonogram and we hope to find out the gender. We are pretty grateful that things have gone so smoothly so far and we are just praying for a healthy kid and continued health for Joey.
